the Kama Sutra Temples

How should I put this?...in India you will never see a Playboy magazine (I don't even dare mentioning Hustler), miniskirts are a biig No-NO,
underground trains have separate places for women and men, marriages are generally arranged and love marriages are frowned upon, sex is not your usual topic and you'll never see prostitutes running the streets... I can go on like this for a while.
In this extremely conservative world, there are temples dedicated to the practice of sex, with erotic sculpture depicting the Kama Sutra Positions and teachings. There are roughly 20 temples the otherwise quiet and unknows city in Khajuraho.
Some Indian philosophies follow the "four main goals of life" known as the purusharthas:
Dharma: Virtuous living.
Artha: Material prosperity.
Kama: Aesthetic and erotic pleasure.
Moksha: Liberation
Dharma, Artha and Kama are aims of everyday life, while Moksha is release from the cycle of death and rebirth
The Kama Sutra Temples resemble the indian culture, one of diversity and contrasts.
However, if you're into live demonstrations and hoping to see sacred rituals, you might wanna choose a different country, as !ndia will not really deliver that.
